Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 2025
Dovirex (“we”, “our”) builds Shopify apps for merchants. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our apps (including Upsell After) and our website.
Who this applies to
This policy applies to merchants who install and use our Shopify apps, and to visitors of our website (dovirex.com). Our apps run on Shopify’s platform and comply with Shopify’s Partner Program and App Store requirements.
Information we collect
- Shop and account data: When you install one of our apps, we receive and store your shop domain, shop ID, and access tokens (encrypted) so the app can operate. We may store billing plan and trial information.
- App usage data: We store data necessary for the app to function—for example, offer rules (e.g. product IDs you configure) and attribution events (e.g. order ID, rule ID, revenue) so you can see performance in the app dashboard. We do not store your customers’ names, email addresses, phone numbers, or addresses in our apps.
- Website: Visiting dovirex.com may involve standard logging (e.g. IP, browser) by our hosting provider. We do not use cookies or tracking for marketing on this site.
How we use information
We use the data above to provide, operate, and improve our apps; to process orders and show post-purchase offers where applicable; to display attribution and analytics inside the app; to comply with legal and Shopify Partner obligations; and to communicate with you about the app (e.g. support, updates) when needed.
Data retention and deletion
We retain data only as long as needed to provide the service and as required by law or Shopify’s policies. When you uninstall an app, we delete or anonymize your shop’s data in line with our obligations under the Shopify Partner Program. We also respond to Shopify’s mandatory compliance webhooks (e.g. customer data request, customer redact, shop redact) to support data deletion and access requests.
Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect data: encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest for sensitive data (e.g. access tokens), secure hosting, and access controls. We do not store payment card data; payment processing is handled by Shopify.
Your rights (e.g. GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area or another region with similar privacy laws, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data. To exercise these rights or ask questions about our data practices, contact us at the email below. We also honor requests received through Shopify’s compliance webhooks as required.
Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share data only as needed to operate the app (e.g. with Shopify via their APIs, with our hosting and infrastructure providers under strict agreements).
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of our apps or site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
